Created in May 2004, by Artistic Director of Kids Performing™, Kuo Po, JazzKids is made up of children age between 8 to 14 years singing and performing big band, swing, and Jazz standards. They are the first group of children in ASIA performing this genre of music.
2007 was an active year, with the debut of their album, "Fascinating Rhythm"! The classic Jazz standards were given a JazzKids twist to it and was launched officially on the 25th May 2007 at Victoria Theatre. Their second album, This Christmas with Jazzkids, filled with jazzy Christmas carols, was launched on 21st November 2007 at UOB Plaza Atrium with two live sets!
In August 2007, JazzKids performed in San Francisco as part of their annual Theatre Festival. They were honoured to be the only group to have been invited to perform, from outside of America. This is their second tour abroad. In January 2006, JazzKids made their maiden trip overseas, performing in Hong Kong as part of the City Festival for three-nights presenting their “ Fascinating Rhythm” concert at the Fringe Studio. They also toured schools in Hong Kong performing for international students.
Most recently, the JazzKids performed for the MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Charity Dinner together with BroadwayKids and the Singapore Symphonic Orchestra in their benefit dinner attended by the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong.
Since June 2004, JAZZKIDS has performed three concerts at Arts House; thrice at the Esplanade including a sold-out concert for the Octoburst Festival 2004, and became the youngest Jazz performers for the very first Mosaic Festival, our equivalent of the Montreal Jazz Festival! They also performed for many notable charity events including Kids Horizon Appeal Gala two years consecutively attended by distinguish guests and the President of Singapore, His Excellency Mr. SR Nathan as the Guest of Honor. They were invited to be part of ChildAid concert which featured the best of Singapore’s young talents raising money for the School Pocket Fund as well as the BT- Budding Artists Fund. They also performed at ST ‘s 160 years celebration concert at the Botanical Gardens attended by at 8,000 people.
JazzKids have sung with jazz singer Jacinta Abisheganarden and famous Filipino entertainer, Martin Nievera at his concert at Suntec Convention City for 5000 people. They have also performed for many Ministers of State of Singapore in high profile corporate and public events.
JazzKids have a repertoire ranging from jazz, pop, rock ‘n’ roll and ritzy musical theater song and dance numbers. Their confidence, professionalism and high standards of performance have amazed many adults in the arts and entertainment industry.
Jazzkids has appeared on Channel 5 Big Fat Idea, Channel News Asia and Nicklelodeon; heard over 93.8FM; written up in Streats; The New Paper, Thumbs Up, NTUC Lifestyle and the Straits Times; Business Times and numerous other magazine publications. They have also been featured in Hong Kong’s newspapers’ South China Morning Post.

**Kids Performing is a performance training school that develops children in the art of performance. Other brands under Kids Performing are BroadwayKids and UrbanKids.
