Kids Performing™ is a school developing children in the art of performing. Founded by Artistic Director, Kuo Po in 2004, it is now a premier school in performance arts nurturing young talents in the various genres of jazz, musical theater and popular music.
The objective of Kids Performing™ is to train, guide, and develop the child's talent towards an immediate and realistic goal of performance before a live audience.
More than just performing arts skills though, this program will also impart essential life‐skills to the students that will stand them in good stead through their lives. Self‐confidence, teamwork, eloquence, creative expression, and more all contribute towards making an individual stand out in a crowd in today’s competitive environment.
With a team of qualified and experienced trainers, Kids Performing has developed three trademarked courses JazzKids™, UrbanKids™ and BroadwayKids™ for children from 7 years old. These courses produces quality performing groups that performs regularly in events and in concerts. There are also junior versions of these courses developed to suit pre-school children age 3-6 years old.
Early this year, Kids Performing™ further develop three more brands of performing groups for teenagers: Fluid, a dance company; Vox Box, an acapella group and All Stars- a triple-threat group of contemporary showcase. Curriculum includes singing , dance techniques, development of stage personality and presentation.
Kids Performing is housed at Popstars City™ that comes complete with a stage for performances, together with a adoring audience in a café that caters for waiting parents and the children.
Kids Performing™ is managed and owned by Precious Entertainment Pte Ltd. Precious Entertainment, a talent and event company, conceptualized and organised the inaugural International Kids Performing Festival 2008 at the Esplanade, Theaters by the Bay. We managed a total of 700 performers over a period of 4 days of programming that included concerts, fringe shows, workshops as well as the Singapore Performing Arts Junior Championship. Performers included the Jazz Prodigies from Indonesia and School of Rock from USA. As such, the students of Kids Performing will be given greater international exposures in these festivals.
  
JazzKids has performed in several concerts at various venues: thrice at the Esplanade including a sold-out concert for the Octoburst Festival 2004 and became the youngest Jazz performers for the 2005 Mosaic Festival!
In January 2006, Kids Performing produced a concert featuring the JazzKids at the acclaimed Hong Kong City Festival. Other overseas performances include the San Francisco Theatre Festival in July 2007. They also launched their debut album called "Fascinating Rhythm, released on the 25th May 2007 at Victoria Theatre. The JazzKids then went on to launch their second album, This Christmas with JazzKids, filled with Christmas carol favourites on the 21st of November 2007, at UOB Plaza Atrium!
UrbanKids & BroadwayKids also performed for many exciting events such as the SSO gala night, the opening of the Jacob Ballas Gardens, and concerts backing celebrities like Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano of the Philippines.
Kids Performing has a programme sponsoring the training of talented and artistically passionat children committed to the art of performance. The Young Artistes Development Social Program is a scholarship that supports children from diverse socio-economic background to undergo training at Kids Performing.
Kids Performing produces and directs showcases using young talents. Our talents have been seen by the President of Singapore, ministers and a large and diverse audience in Singapore.
Our Vision
KIDS PERFORMING is a performing arts school synonymous with quality children's performance training in the region, producing talents and brands of performance groups that become inspiring icons for the youth.
Kids Performing aspires to grow into a regional, pan-Asia company, using her original multi-cultural, multi-lingual performance groups as a model for developing young talent, exposing them to a range of musical styles, teaching children of different backgrounds to work together, and instilling the discipline of the theater. Importantly, Kids Performing continues her collaboration with government entities to promote the performing arts in Singapore, build audiences and train young talent, and to enhance Singapore's reputation abroad as a venue for high-quality performances and for nurturing cutting-edge talent.
As such, with support of Creative Community Singapore, an initiative by the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts, Kids Performing is the organiser of the Singapore Kids in Performance (SKIP) Project and the International Kids Performing Festival.
